How to Reset a Temporary Password

Overview:
When you start your job with a company in the Go Group, your account has a temporary password that must be changed before you can sign in. You can change that password by signing into a Go Group laptop, or by following the steps below. You may also use this process if you contact the support desk for help resetting your password.
Before you change your password, take the time to familiarize yourself with the Go Auto Desktop Security Policy which outlines the requirements for passwords at Go Auto.
Please Note: Resetting your Go Group login password will also result in your password changing for the following services.
- Windows/PC Login
- Go Group Email
- Go Auto Garage/L'Oca Nest
- Market Support
- Go Bistro
- HR Form (only applicable to managers)
- Microsoft Office 365 Apps (license required)
- I.T. Support Portal
- Go Auto VPN
- Microsoft Teams
This does not impact the following logins
- Manufacturer websites
- Financial websites
- Other non-Go Auto resources
How to Reset Your Password
1) Browse to the following the link in below in a web browser to reset your password:
http://portal.office.com

2) Enter in your Username in the blank field, and hit next.
NOTE: Your User ID is firstinitiallastname@goauto.ca or firstinitiallastname@loca.ca
Remember your username and e-mail address are independent of each other.
Example: Your name is John Doe at Kentwood Ford, therefore your e-mail is jdoe@kentwoodford.com while your User ID is jdoe@goauto.ca
3) On the new page that opens, type in the temporary password you were given

4) If you type in the correct username and password, you should see the following page. Please re-enter the temporary password where it says "Current Password", and type your new password in the "New Password" and "Confirm Password" fields.

5) Once you have followed these steps, your password will be changed. Please wait a few minutes before trying to sign into any other services, so your password can synchronize.
