Market: How to Merge Customer Profiles
How to Merge Customer Profiles:
- Begin by selecting Customers from your Market home screen, then search for your customer.

- When you're in Customers and have looked up your customer's profiles, you can merge them right from there by selecting the box beside the 2 profiles, then selecting more options
then finally clicking Merge Customers. You can also merge them by going into one of the customer's profiles (that will be demonstrated later in the article).

*Please note, that you cannot merge customer profiles if both profiles have an IDENTITY. If you attempt to merge profiles that both have email identities you will see the following message.

- If you've selected the customer profile instead of merging from the customer search screen, then this is how you will proceed with merging. First off, make sure it is the correct customer. If it's the correct customer, but not their primary account, start by removing the Email Identity (if there is one). Once you've done that the page will refresh and you will notice an orange bar under Alerts. You can select Review Similar Profiles on the far right-hand side to begin the merge.
*It will not suggest a customer profile if the profile has an identity value

- Next, you will be taken to the Merge Customer screen. Here you can review the information again to determine if the profiles are correct. If they are, click Next.
*Please note, once you have merged customer profiles the process CAN NOT be undone.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
If you get to this step and you are unable to select the "NEXT" button to move on to the following step, it is because both profiles you are trying to merge have still have identity information. Remove the email/SMS identities from at least one of the profiles before continuing.

- The next step in the customer merge is selecting the customer information you wish to merge. This is done the same way as it was in Market Classic, by clicking the field you would like to merge. If the field is green, the information will go to the new profile. If the field is grey it will not transfer. Finally, in the far-right column, you will see what information will transfer over to the new combined profile.

- After you've confirmed the information, click next to finalize the customer profile merge.
